Emily’s Profile

Profile

Emily( 沓名菜穂美)
Shelter Asset Management
Vice President / Entrepreneur & Executive Coach

After graduating, I joined the Kinki Nippon Tourist Group, where I worked as a top tour guide serving both domestic and international clients.

I later co-founded a real estate development company in the United States with my Canadian husband.

Currently based in Scottsdale, Arizona, I have expanded the business into five companies across the U.S., growing it into an organization with over ¥100 billion in assets under management and more than 270 employees.

From luxury homes to large-scale residential community developments, I have demonstrated long-standing leadership in the U.S. real estate development industry.

Alongside managing my business, I completed the Intensive Practice Program (IPP) at UCLA Mindful / UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center.

To date, I have provided mindfulness-based coaching to more than 12,000 women.

With a mission to foster the economic independence of Japanese women and unlock new possibilities, I am committed to creating opportunities for Japanese women to engage more realistically in the highly competitive field of international real estate.

In the women-focused project launched last year, ten Japanese women joined in its inaugural year, supporting their concrete steps toward economic advancement and new challenges.

While advancing initiatives that integrate mindset transformation with wealth building through real estate, I support women in taking on challenges and expanding their economic choices through their own efforts.

I also serve as a board member of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and am actively involved in a wide range of philanthropic activities in the United States.

【Concept】

Supporting women in developing the mindset and achieving the financial independence needed to take on challenges globally.

So that women can believe in their own potential and step forward on a global stage.

As an entrepreneur who has built a real estate development business in the United States, I share the mindset that empowers women to expand their financial choices and design a life that is true to themselves.

Message

What I want to share is not merely a formula for success.

It is the inner foundation that enables women to believe in their own value, step forward when it matters, and consciously choose their own lives.

In the process of building a business overseas, I have been faced with major decisions time and again—cultural differences, language barriers, different business practices, and the demanding world of real estate development. It has never been an easy path.

What supported me each time was not only knowledge or experience, but a mindset that allowed me to center myself and take a step forward even in the face of fear.

Many Japanese women possess great talent and potential, yet unconsciously place limits on themselves—thinking, “It’s too early for me,” “I’m not good with money,” or “Big challenges aren’t for me.”

However, when the environment changes, perspectives shift, and one becomes aware of internal mental blocks, people are capable of profound transformation.

I support women in proactively choosing their own lives by integrating two dimensions: the practical world of wealth-building through real estate, and inner transformation grounded in mindfulness.

So that Japanese women are not overly constrained by traditional roles in the family or society, but can believe in their own potential and step forward to take on challenges globally.

Providing the opportunities and learning needed to make that possible is my mission.
